Nick Profeta is 2012's REALTOR® of the Year

CREB®'s highest honor was recently presented to Nick Profeta of Re/Max Real Estate (Central).

Commonly known as the REALTOR® of the Year award, the T.W.H. (Bill) Saunders MemorialAward is given to those who exemplify high standards of professionalism, show remarkable leadership and dedication and recognizes outstanding contributions to the real estate industry and the community. Nick Profeta has served on 12 different committees/task forces since 1995. His well know Nico Night was held for many, many years to raise funds for the CREB® Charitable Foundation and the community Feed

The Hungry program for the homeless and the marginalized. This past summer he started a new endeavor called REALTOR® Round Up with a Stampede event which supports providing lunches to needy children in the community.

Besides the Feed The Hungry program where he has been involved for 13 years, Profeta's other endeavors include fundraising for the Children's Hospital, supporting cancer victims' fundraisers and serving on CREB®'s Annual Forecast Conference and Tradeshow for the past three years.

Consensus amongst his peers and the award committee is that Profeta shares his expertise and knowledge to build a level of professionalism in the industry. They remarked Profeta is "an innovator, always thinking into the future and how to make things better."

"From a very early age, Nick exemplified the qualities of T.W.H. (Bill) Saunders," said the selection committee. "He is involved. He is dedicated. He participates fully. He is the consummate professional. He is a leader and a mentor. And he cares deeply about his industry and community."

Recently, the City of Calgary honored Profeta with their White Hat Award for community service and fundraising. Now it the CREB®'s turn to honor one of their own with the T.W.H (Bill) Saunders REALTOR® of the Year award.
