Lions Village Opens

Lions Village Affordable Senior Housing opened today in Calgary.

A $10.7 million joint investment by the Government of Canada and the Government of Alberta. The four-story Lions Village houses 90 affordable units for seniors. Lions Village was brought about by applying for funding from both provincial and federal governments. The Canada's Economic Action Plan includes the initiative to build, renovate, develop secondary housing and other options identified by the community.

Lions Village took just about a year to complete and is now part of 11,000 affordable housing unites being built around Alberta this year.
