How To Keep Busy in Snowy Weather

Spring may have sprung but the snow and the cold keeps coming, and it can be difficult to keep sane while continually being cooped up inside. Frolicking in the snow, tobogganing, skiing, snowboarding or skating may have lost the appeal it once had at the beginning of winter. Searching for new, fun and interesting activities may seem difficult, so CREB®Now has put together some indoor activities that are sure to have you forgetting about the less than pleasant spring weather, even if just for a little while.

SPEEDERS INDOOR PROKARTS
Like to race? Then the 50,000 sq. ft. of Speeders Indoor ProKarts is the place for you. They offer a racing experience for both beginners and seasoned racers. As long as kids are 12-years-old or older, and taller than 5'1, then stop by anytime for the drop-in racing. All prokarts are 100 per cent electric-powered to offer environmentally friendly racing rain, shine or snow. Check them out at 58 Aero Dr. NE or online at www.speeders.ca to see what they can offer on a cold, snowy weekend.

METRO FAIRWAY INDOOR GOLFING
If you are missing the green of the grass on the fairway of a golf course and swinging a nine iron at a little white dimpled ball, you can fuel your golf withdrawals indoors. Started by two avid golfers, who decided the winter months interfered with their golf season just as they were packing up the clubs, discovered the magic of golf simulators for new and experienced golfers to work on their skills. To brush up on your swinging technique, or to warm up for the upcoming season head down to Metro Fairway Indoor Golfing at 10 5220 4th St NE.

ABSOLUTE BASEBALL ACADEMY & FITNESS CENTRE
Baseball season is just around the corner and for those wanting to get their batting and throwing muscles in shape they can take in the indoor batting cages at Absolute Baseball Academy & Fitness Centre. The centre offers facilities for those who play fast pitch, slow pitch and cricket. The centre is open to the public year round for drop in use for the batting cages, pitching lanes and dry land areas for individual, group or team training. Drop in at 2221 Crowchild Trail NW.
